Anthony Herro DDS

Dr. Herro is committed to helping his most vulnerable patients by providing anesthesia to calm their fears. A graduate of Creighton Dental School, he completed an oral surgery externship in San Francisco and studied Sedation and Anesthesia at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Patterson, New Jersey. Dr. Herro was a single recipient of the American Dental Society of Anesthesia Horace Wells Senior Student Award for outstanding service in Anesthesia in June 2005.

Dr. Herro is a Founding Member of the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health, and one of their respected faculty members in the Special Care Clinic. Joseph Santoro DDS

Joseph Santoro, D.D.S., a graduate of Colorado School of Dentistry, completed an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a fellowship in Oral Implantology at the University of Miami ‚ Jackson Memorial Hospital where his training included implant placement, bone grafting, sinus elevation, soft tissue techniques as well as all types of implant based restorations. Furthermore, Dr. Santoro studied Sedation and Anesthesia at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Patterson, New Jersey. As one of just a handful of fellowship trained implant surgeons in the country, Dr. Santoro has dedicated his career to the pursuit of excellence in implant surgery and bone regeneration.

Dr. Santoro is a regional and national designated lecturer for MIS Implants. He holds professional memberships with The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and The Academy of Osseointegration and is an active volunteer at the CASS dental clinic.

Michael Jejna DMD

Dr. Jejna, a native from Phoenix, Arizona, graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with Pre-Medical degree in Kinesiology.While attending UMass Amherst, Dr. Jejna was a forward on the division 1 men’s soccer team that reached the final four in a game that was televised by ESPN in 2007.

After completion of his undergraduate degree, Dr. Jejna attended dental school at A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. In addition, he obtained his dental license through the American Board of Dental Examiners and graduated at the top of his class.

Dr. Jejna volunteers every year for the Give Kids a Smile (GKAS) event in east Mesa and provides care to underserved children from the Mesa Public School District.

Dr. Jejna provides dental care to patients of all ages and is committed to restoring the oral health of those within the community.

Percy Twine DMD

Dr. Percy Twine Jr. is originally from Chesapeake, Virginia. Dr. Twine attended Pennsylvania State University where he completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Food Science‚ discipline focused on all technical aspects of food. Food science incorporates concepts from many different fields including microbiology, chemical engineering, biochemistry and many others.

Upon the completion of his graduate studies at Penn State, Dr. Twine decided to pursue a career in dentistry. He attended The University of Pennsylvania for his dental training. Dr. Twine continued his specialty training in Endodontics at Louisiana State University.

Dr. Twine is currently a member of the Arizona Dental Association, and is board-eligible for the American Association of Endodontics. He also enjoys teaching and is faculty at the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. Dr. Twine and his family reside in Phoenix and love the Central Phoenix area. Most Sundays in the fall, you will find the Twine family cheering on their favorite NFL team, The Pittsburgh Steelers.

Tamer El Gendy DMD, BDS, MS

Dr. El-Gendy is an Associate Professor and Director of Prosthodontic Department at The Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. He graduated from Cairo University (Egypt) – School of Dentistry in 1996. He completed his Advanced Prosthodontic training and his Masters degree at the University of Minnesota in 2001. He also completed a Postdoctoral Implant Dentistry Fellowship at The Ohio State University in 2002 where he focused on restoring advanced implant patients and treating implant complications. In 2002, he became a full-time assistant professor at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He was awarded the Larry Peterson Outstanding Young Educator Award by the Ohio State University in 2004 and The Outstanding Teacher of the year in 2005 and 2009. He teaches Complete Denture, All ceramic restorations and Dental Implant course to pre-doctoral and graduate students at The Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral health. He lectures nationally and internationally in several continuing education courses and meetings.

Dr. El-Gendy limits his practice to the specialty of prosthodontics, with emphasis on fixed prosthodontics, esthetic dentistry and implant restorations.

Dr. El-Gendy is a member of Egyptian Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration and American Dental Education Association.

Dr. Patel is a certified pediatric dentist, trained in the oral health of children, including children with special needs, from infancy through adolescence.He graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University Dental School with the distinction of academic honors. His experience in general dentistry, coupled with his volunteer work with the Red Cross and several service missions, ignited his interest and passion for pediatric dentistry.

To further his expertise, Dr. Patel completed a two year Pediatric Dental Residency at the University of Minnesota. The program provided him with excellent mentorship and plenty of hands-on training while treating hospitalized children with complex medical cases.

After completing the residency, Dr. Patel and his wife Archana moved to Arizona to be closer to family. They have two beautiful children, Shayen and Anya, and absolutely love raising their family in North Phoenix.

Bruce White DDS

Dr. Bruce White is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and a U.S. Army veteran.  He practiced in Michigan before moving to Arizona in 1987.

He is an adjunct professor at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health and a director of the dental sleep medicine course with the graduate program.  He is also a clinical advisor to the Public Health study club and the dental school for humanitarian trips to the Dominican Republic.  Dr. White is a consultant for the State Board of Dental Examiners on Dental Sleep Medicine.

He is married and when not spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren,  enjoys reading, hiking and running in 10 K’s and half marathons.

Dr. White believes that dental health medicine in collaboration with physicians can have a major impact on our patient’s health.  He enjoys working with our team to help patients with sleep apnea improve their quality of life.
