Phoenix Dentist for patients with special needs
Special needs patients and parents know visiting the dentist can be a frustrating event. Often times being referred from one dentist to the next without receiving dental care. Additionally, the patient may have difficulty cooperating or holding still long enough to receive appropriate dental care.
Dr. Herro, Dr. Santoro and our staff are well-trained in caring for patients with special needs. They are kind & gentle and offer years of experience providing dental sedation as a treatment alternative for disabled & special needs patients.
In the past, special needs patients were inconveniently treated in the hospital leading to a greater expense. We offer all forms of anesthesia in our dental office, and have an MD Anesthesiologist who oversees all cases of general anesthesia. This is much less expensive and much more convenient, while offering the highest levels of safety and care.
Dr. Herro teaches in the Special Care Clinic at Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. His unique and personalized approach is well respected and proven to work well.
Types of Patients with Special Needs

- Any patient who requires a little extra care from their dentist
Sedation dentistry is individualized for each patient at Dental On Central. Dr. Herro does not believe in the “one size fits all” approach. At your sedation consultation, Dr. Herro will review the patient’s medical history and specific special needs. Together with the patient and their loved ones, treatment options will be discussed and a plan will be formulated to most effectively and comfortably offer dental treatment.
Whether its Oral Sedation, IV Sedation, or General Anesthesia, we can remove the fear, anxiety and pain associated with dentistry.
